You have been warned you need to cite reliable sources, if you don't and continue to add unsourced content you may be blocked from editing. I suggest you read WP:RELIABLE. Tommi1986 let's talk! 21:17, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

These are the rules set down by Wikipedia, if you don't like them and refused to abide by them go ahead and start your own blog/website/etc where you can post anything you want. Here on Wikipedia everything MUST be backed with reliable sources. Tommi1986 let's talk! 21:54, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Teyora - Development first look!

[edit]

Hi! I'm Ed6767, the original creator of RedWarn, now one of the most popular tools on the English Wikipedia that's been used by over 1,000 Wikimedians to make over 300,000 edits since mid-2020 that's been praised for its user friendliness and ease of use, but criticised for its limited functionality. I'm leaving this message as I think it may be of interest here - I left the RedWarn project in November to develop Teyora, my successor to RedWarn (alongside Chlod's UltraViolet). It's a new in development web app that uses some of the latest web technologies to create a highly extendable all in one editing tool with a focus on administration, counter vandalism and general patrolling - not to mention, it'll work on every Wikimedia project without any prior configuration and can be used by any user with at least auto-confirmed rights*. Now, I'm ready to give the Wikimedia community a first look at what I've been doing over the past six months and what to expect going forward.

You can check out the 20 minute first look at the in development version on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzlpnzXdLP4.

There's lots more to expect too! Why not read the full details page at meta:Teyora and leave any feedback, comments or wishes at meta:Talk:Teyora (please leave any correspondence there to keep discussion centralised). If you're interested, you can leave your signature

*with basic features, advanced features require configuration. To prevent abuse, auto-confirmed users will be in a restricted mode until approved by an admin or via rollback rights.

All the best, ✨ Ed talk!23:17, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion criteria

[edit]

Hi Tommi1986, please have a look at WP:G3/WP:G10. There's no need to create a MfD if a speedy deletion criterion clearly applies. MfD still remains an option if speedy deletion is declined. 🙂 ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:24, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey ToBeFree, thanks for letting me know, I will bear that in mind in the future! Tommi1986 let's talk! 21:26, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Going rollback on RedWarn

[edit]

Hi, I see you are pretty active in reverting vandalism using RedWarn. Since you already have the rollback right, you can actually do this: go to your RedWarn preferences (the three dots, then click on "RedWarn preferences"), then go to the "Behavior" window, and then select "rollback" in the rollback method section. This makes your reversions a lot faster, since you don't have to use undo. Alternatively, go to Special:MyPage/redwarnConfig.js and change the ""rollbackmethod":"rollback-like"" text to ""rollbackmethod":"rollback"". Hopefully this helps! — 3PPYB6TALKCONTRIBS13:08, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Block my IP please - You are correct

[edit]

It's not a false positive. Please keep my IP blocked from editing for longer then what you have set. A couple years or something please. My 8 year old with Autism loves making up his own battles and doesn't understand the implications of changing things like this. Please make sure nothing else was changed from this address. Sorry for the trouble, any questions feel free to email me.

I sent and appeal key asking the same. 5cd1e1c6b11dbb15c9d2e77bf17dfb2a if it's not possible this way please let me know how I can stop him from editing things from his Ipad and our PC. Thanks again. I created this account just to send you this message. Thanks. Sorry again for the trouble. Craig — Preceding unsigned comment added by Giarc007 (talkcontribs) 21:47, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Craig, thank you for your message, which IP are you talking about? Or which edit was made using this IP? Please let me know and I can pass this on to an admin to review. Many thanks. Tommi1986 let's talk! 22:03, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
173.252.15.6 is what cluebot reports back Giarc007 (talk) 01:49, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I can see that IP was blocked for three months on 22nd April by @Widr:. I have pinged the blocking admin into this message. Tommi1986 let's talk! 09:47, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please, help, trolls are attacking again the Catherine Tramell article

[edit]

You helped yesterday, but that page is always under attack by the same user, Indopug, during more than a year. Misteriously a new IP appeared yesterday and did the same that user does, and today at same the time Indopug returned to attack. Please, help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.202.17.248 (talk) 17:36, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Groove Phi Groove

[edit]

As a note, the editor that did a test edit and undo on Groove Phi Groove, User:Thabiso.magagula has a username that is equal to that of the Director of Technology for Groove Phi Groove. Just letting you know that he may be problematic as well. And he seems to be sneakier. He did one test edit and then asked for the article to have a higher level of protection.Naraht (talk) 21:06, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Naraht:, thanks for the heads up mate, I literally just saw the RfPP request and 'test edit' made by this editor! Will keep an eye on it for now. Hopefully protection wont be needed. Tommi1986 let's talk! 21:11, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
NP. It's going to get worse before it gets better. I did drop and actual email to the president email address from the GPhiG website. We'll see if that helps.Naraht (talk) 21:35, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Transsexual is not a suitable term

[edit]

Transexual is not a suitable term when talking about the legal issues around transgender rights — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snarcky1996 (talkcontribs) 14:09, 29 May 2022 (UTC) I suggest that you read other wikipedia pages about LGBT Rights to acknowledge the correct term used in this sort of instances.[reply]
