To whom it may concern,

I have been unreasonably blocked from editing Wikipedia pages. However, I believe that the reason for this block is inconsequential. Firstly, I attempted to create a Wikipedia page detailing Tony’s Beach, an integral beach in Long Beach Township, NJ. The page was denied on the account that it lacked proper citations. I understand that fact and intend to change it when I am allowed to do so. In addition to that, the page for the Long Beach Township Beach Patrol, which I made an accurate minor edit to recently, was deleted and redirected to a different page. This is unreasonable because the page contained helpful and accurate information and was edited with the intent to expand on the information already present. I am asking to be unblocked, allowed to make helpful contributions to Wikipedia, and for the Long Beach Township Beach Patrol page to be restored. Thank You.

This account is blocked because it was used to evade a block on User:Tony Beach Enthusiast. If you want to make an unblock request, you must do so on the "master" account (aka User:Tony Beach Enthusiast). I am however not convinced you aren't trying to add a hoax to Wikipedia. I cannot find any sources to back up this so called beach. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 00:53, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank for your prompt response. I do not plan on creating a Tony’s Beach page and am alright with that information being omitted from the Long Beach Township Beach Patrol page. However, I did make other important edits to that article, with citations from the LBTBP website, that are not present because the page no longer exists. As for my “master” account, I do not remember the password for that account and cannot log into it. Please respond to this reply with further explanations or information for me. What would you edit instead? HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:11, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As long as the Long Beach Township Beach Patrol Page is restored, I would find a different page, likely concerning sports to make meaningful contributions to. Tonys Beach Enthusiast (talk) 01:13, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If these are the edits you wish to be restored, that is not happening. As I mentioned above, I am not convinced this isn't a hoax and if it is real, it isn't notable enough for its own page. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:15, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If it wasn’t already made clear, I did not create the page about the LBTBP. I simply edited it and attempted to add impactful information to it. At the very least, the page should be restored to its version before my original edits. From there, I can edit again and include the proper citations. In other words, I cannot prove to you and others that this is notable and important if I am blocked from editing. Please respond with further information.Tonys Beach Enthusiast (talk) 01:23, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sometimes, one source is sufficient when dealing with a smaller but significant entity. The source clearly shows the guarded beaches in Long Beach Township and explains the importance of the Beach Badge Checking Program. The purpose of mentioning Tony’s Beach was to emphasize the fact that the LBTBP has a close bond with the people it serves. Since you have made it clear that Tony’s Beach is not important enough for mention, I will be okay with its omission from the page. Please respond with more information. In the edit before the redirect, there was one reference. On Wikipedia, everything must be cited to a reliable source and pass our general notability criteria. I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone would re-create or re-add an article that had one reference to prove its notability. In my opinion, this conversation shows a) a lack of knowledge of the purpose of Wikipedia and b) that you are still going to edit about this "beach" if unblocked. I will not unblock you but feel free to request one following the Wikipedia:Appealing a block. 01:43, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

Request reason:

I created a second account because I forgot the password of my first. I also will make cited contributions to Wikipedia pages Tonys Beach Enthusiast (talk) 02:16, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I suggest that you try hard to remember it. Leaving that aside, you'll need to explicitly agree to abandon efforts to edit about this alleged beach and tell us what you will edit instead. 331dot (talk) 08:37, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I will not make any edits about Tony’s Beach. My intention is to add the correct information regarding the LBTBP. Tonys Beach Enthusiast (talk) 20:05, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

That would include the beach you claim as Tony's Beach. Frankly, you aren't going to be unblocked to write in that subject area. Yamla (talk) 20:14, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
