Barnstars

The Music Barnstar
Terrific job on Nino Rota discography - even though I still hate the infobox! What will you try next? All the best. Kleinzach 03:47, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Disambiguator's Barnstar
Dear Toploftical
Thank you for fixing the link to the Donegal DAB page in the article on Dónal Lunny, which I had missed for years! It turns out that it should have been the County, not the town, but without your intervention, this would never have been fixed; so, thank you for your help, and for your contributions to our encyclopedia.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 10:27, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Preserving circles

[edit]

Straight lines are included as circles in the extended complex plane where the stereographic projection operates. (They are the circles that pass through the point at infinity.) The point of stereographic projection is that circles in the extended plane are transformed into circles in the extended plane. -- Elphion (talk) 00:27, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your addition of a date of birth to Jennifer Warren and the accompanying citation to IMDb. That source is not reliable for citing content in Wikipedia articles. Please see WP:IMDB for comments about it. You might also want to read WP:USERGENERATED, which mentions other sources that are similarly not reliable. Your edits at Gareth V. Williams

[edit]

Hello Toploftical,

I'm sure you acted with good intentions when you tried to make these edits at Gareth V. Williams. However, please note your earlier edit had already been reverted. Gareth V. Williams received his PhD in 2013. The information you have added belongs to a different person, a "Gareth A. Williams". Please stop trying to add it back! Thank you. Renerpho (talk) 13:25, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oops. Thanks for straightening that out.--Toploftical (talk) 13:30, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. There has been over a month between your two attempts to make these two edits. In case you forgot that you made the first one, please make sure that you don't make the same mistake again in August. Renerpho (talk) 13:34, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:41, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
