Disambiguation pages
[edit]Please note that disambiguation pages like Nayar are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
- Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory
I have reverted your edit to Nayar but moved the material that you added, along with the list of people, to create Nayar (name). In the future, if you wish to completely change an existing page, I would suggest that you first discuss it on the talk page or create a new article. Leschnei (talk) 14:33, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

Request to remove personal information from an edit
[edit]I recently made an edit on the Wikipedia page titled "[Beri Surname]" and accidentally included personal information that I’d like to have removed for privacy reasons. The edits where i mentioned that beri surname caste belong to scheduled caste in uttarakhand.
I would appreciate it if you could help remove or hide this information from the edit history. Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
Best regards ! Indianthor2024 (talk) 14:21, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
