Welcome!

Hello, ToyCharlie, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like SOLAE, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hell In A Bucket (talk) 14:21, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of SOLAE[edit]

A tag has been placed on SOLAE requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. August 2009[edit]

Your recent addition has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. {{helpme}} I do not understand why each time i create the SOLAE page it gets deleted under the Unambiguous copyright infringement clause.

All this information I have written so there is no copyright infringement. It has also been stated that all the info comes from the website, which is not true. The official website contains no historic info or information about community organitions SOLAE has helped. All of which was listed in Wiki artical I wrote.

Please explain?

The last admin who deleted your article explained that it was a copyvio of "http://www.solae.org/bylaws.pdf and other areas of the website". Copying several different parts of the website and merging them into one text does not cure the copyvio. Now, if you still think the deletion to have been in error, you can either discuss this with the admin directly by going here, who, like all administrators, has access to deleted content and is more qualified to help you in this case, or, failing that, request a review at deletion review. I strongly recommend, however, that you simply write an article on your own computer, and upload it when you are sure that there's no infringing material. You might want to read our guidelines to your first article. Since you say that your article included material that's not contained by the official website, you might want to read our specific guidelines on original research and verifiability as well. Reading the DRV discussion, it seems quite clear that at least 3 different admins think that your article contained copyright infringing material. As such, there is no way it will be restored. The DRV page itself says this.

Again, I strongly recommend that you write an article on your computer, using whatever material you want, and upload it when you are sure that it does not contain any infringing material. As to the mission statement, you can link to the material instead of copying it directly. You can, if you want, contact an admin to get the deleted, noninfringing material back. I'm sure any admin listed in here would be glad to help. Tim Song (talk) 01:19, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
