Translating Wikipedia

[edit]

There is guidance available for translating Wikipedia; you should look at it prior to translating any more material. Specifically, when translating material from foreign language Wikipedias, verifiability still pertains. You must copy the sources that were in the original Wikipedia. (If there were no sources, then the material probably doesn't merit translation to the English Wikipedia.) Also, when you have translated material from another language, you must give proper attribution to the original authors. The best way to do this is to place the {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the English article that you have updated. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:29, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
