I have seen your edits to Travel Foreman. Do you have sources to back up your claim that the information is inaccurate? If you do then certainly it should be removed. However, saying "I am travel foreman" is not enough, for two reasons:

  1. Since anyone can edit Wikipedia we have no way of knowing whether that claim is true. Unfortunately it is not unknown for people to claim on Wikipedia that they are someone they are in fact not.
  2. There are people who try to suppress true information, falsely claiming that it is untrue. This is contrary to the policies that Wikipedia is not censored and that an individual does not own an article, even if they are the subject of the article.

It may be that neither of the above points applies in your case, and you are genuinely removing inaccurate information. However, much of the information you removed had sources attached to it, and it is not justifiable to remove it unless you can produce evidence to support your claim. I suggest posting on the article's talk page explaining why the information should be removed if you do have good reasons. JamesBWatson (talk) 20:07, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of content

[edit]

(edit conflict) Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that bases itself on external reliable sources, which means that it is mostly a compilation of data found elsewhere. Unreferenced content in biographies is under strict scrutiny to prevent libel or unjust data from being forwarded, but referenced content is generally not removed unless it is disproved trough the usage of other reliable sources. Wikipedia values verifiability over truth, which means that we include referenced content over content that one may perceive as being correct.

If you do believe the article is wrong i would ask that you include reliable sources in the article which disprove the other sources that are already present, rather then resorting to straight-out content removal. Kind regards, Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 20:08, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you were Travel Foreman, you wouldn't simply delete the text, you'd correct it. HalfShadow 20:17, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
