You must provide a reference to a reliable source that states explicitly and unambiguously that the person in question is a member of the DSA. Being endorsed by the DSA is nowhere near good enough. Cullen328 (talk) 07:44, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You have been indefinitely blocked from editing List of Democratic Socialists of America members who have held office in the United States for failing to provide references to reliable sources that actually verify the content that you are trying to add. You can make well-referenced edit requests at Talk: List of Democratic Socialists of America members who have held office in the United States. Please read the Guide to appealing blocks. Request reason:

I now understand the level of specificity and reliability required for the sources I add to the page I was editing, List of Democratic Socialists of America members who have held elected office in the United States. I have only been an editor for a few months and I am still learning how to do everything properly. I had never seen the talk page before and the messages about this are less than an hour apart because I did not realize I had even received the first message and tried to resubmit my edits. I hope to return to the page and provide quality content with quality sources. UnPeuPar2 (talk) 20:04, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I would like to see you have an edit request proposed on the talk page and accepted before unblocking you from the article at issue. 331dot (talk) 20:25, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hello mentor User:Cullen328, I need someone to look at my edit request. Not sure if I did it wrong or if it's because the page technically isn't protected I'm just blocked so it's not being flagged or something. Nobody has responded to it yet though. UnPeuPar2 (talk) 14:57, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You did not make a formal edit request, you just left a note. Follow the very specific instructions including the proper template described at Edit requests. There are experienced editors who patrol formal edit requests. Probably, nobody noticed your informal note. Cullen328 (talk) 21:37, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I think this helped me figure it out. UnPeuPar2 (talk) 08:57, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

User:331dot wanted to see an edit request proposed on the talk page of the article and accepted before unblocking me. My edit request was approved today, so I am issuing another unblock request. Thank you! UnPeuPar2 (talk) 19:27, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

Cullen328, that edit request looks to me as though it shows an understanding of the nature of sourcing needed. Do you think it's good enough to justify lifting the block? JBW (talk) 22:48, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
JBW, I have no objection to lifting the block. Thanks. Cullen328 (talk) 23:07, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
