Request reason:

I have only ever used a single account to edit Wikipedia pages. I don't understand how I could have been blocked for sock puppetry. Is this a mistake?

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Thanks for the fast response. I have no knowledge of these accounts at all and I can see nothing to suggest that they have any relationship with UtherSB. I see that they have been listed but I don't see any evidence - maybe because I don't understand everything written. I note that a CheckUser request was made by J. B. Lewis who recently edited some edits I'd made to the symplectic matrix page, which I agree with. I guess my question is this: has it been proven in the administrators' eyes that I am connected with these other accounts? If so, should I just quit and make another account? Is that more puppetry? Or is there a way to appeal or prove otherwise?

Decline reason:

Yes, it has been technically proven. Yes, creating more accounts is against the policy and will result in these accounts being blocked and all their edits undone. Feel free to submit another request if you want to dispute the checkuser findings, but be prepared to explain why these weren't your accounts. Otherwise, see the standard offfer for a path to get unblocked. Max Semenik (talk) 16:50, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am not an expert Wikipedia user and so the explanation given by JBL on the sockpuppet investigation does not make it clear to me why UtherSB has anything to do with these accounts. If the CheckUser findings show that I am somehow - and I still don't know how - connected to those other accounts then I dispute that finding. I do not wish to follow the Standard Offer path unless I can clear up what has happened here. I don't know how to explain why these weren't my accounts: they weren't my accounts because they weren't my accounts. Do let me know if there is any information that I can provide that would be more helpful than that.

Decline reason:

The connection between you and other three accounts was made by the WP:Checkuser. It maybe be a mistake, of course, but ordinary administrators are not allowed to undo checkuser blocks. The only way for you to be unblocked is to contact the WP:ARBCOM. Vanjagenije (talk) 18:20, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I do not understand what is involved in going to Arbcom (per Vanjagenije's comment) but I believe you that these accounts are not the same person as you and would be willing to give my comments to that effect at an appropriate venue, if you like. --JBL (talk) 18:58, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
