Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] MrOllie (talk) 15:05, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there! This is a link and review that elucidates the content of the film (in the relevant section), one that the filmmaker herself found it relevant to cite in her own page. Zippy Frames is an esteemed animation website, like the ones of Hollywood Reporter, Variety etc. in feature films. So, I'd rather reinstate this, since the author herself wants to do so. Please don't do this to my external links anymore. I'm aware of the nospam rules, but at the same time independent animation films have so little coverage that every external link helps. And I see in the same pages a lot of links from similar websites being left as they are. Vassiliszippy (talk) 06:58, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a place for you to link or otherwise promote your site. Adding it systematically as you have been is link spamming as Wikipedia defines it. MrOllie (talk) 13:07, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. MrOllie (talk) 13:56, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is unfair and discriminatory behavior. If you really want to remove spamming, you need to remove the majority of external links that appear in the articles I edited (but you don't do that, so you essentially discriminate against an esteemed publication). As I said before, this is useful information for the articles, also championed by the film directors themselves. I'll decide what to do. Vassiliszippy (talk) 16:52, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is a large website and there is a lot of maintenance to do. If you have noticed other improper links, that is a problem to be fixed, not a reason to make the problem worse by adding your own site as well. Adding your own site in this way is flatly against Wikipedia policies. This is not a place for you to promote yourself or your site. MrOllie (talk) 17:42, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
