A tag has been placed on Vastry requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Adolphus (talk) 23:42, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Conflict of interest note
[edit]By your user name, it appears that you represent a company or organization. Please read our conflict of interest guidelines as well as our FAQ for businesses. We welcome your contributions here, but please refrain from writing about your own company's services and personnel, as you did in Vastry. Thanks, and happy editing! This kind of activity is considered spamming and forbidden by policies, and also violates our username policy.
However, if you feel that there has been a mistake in your blocking, please appeal this block by adding the text{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below or email the administrator who blocked you. Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Please check that your new username has not already been taken by checking this list. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:55, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
I apologize for my username, but I really didn't mean to promote for a company, because vastry is not a company, it's just a website for unique idea, I just used it as username because it's just small username, and I didn't know that this is prohibted however I apologize again for that and I want to have new username which is mohamedhawass. I also edited one page for very famous musician and I don't know why it's deleted, thank you
Decline reason:
I'm willing to unblock you if you agree to stay away from editing about Vastry completely but you haven't said that yet so I'm declining this request. Put up a new one if you are willing to agree, or want another opinion from someone else. As for the musician, you should talk to the admin who deleted it: User talk:Akradecki. His deletion summary said the reason was CSD G11 ("blatant advertising") so if you disagree you can discuss with him once we've sorted out your username and promotional edits. (Yes, promotional... company / website / band / non-profit, doesn't make a difference to us.)Mangojuicetalk 17:05, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
I agree I will never edit anything again about vastry and I will stay away than this topic, but regarding musician, I guess the admin may deleted the page becuase I put the covers of his albums, but I swear I didn't put the covers of albums to promote for it, I just put it to improve the discography, but now I learnt, I still don't know how to talk to the admin who deleted it, please help me to get back this article, thank you.
Please include a decline or accept reason.

- I'm the admin who deleted it, and I'm concerned about the musician edits, as well. The article was written as if you were either the musician or someone paid to promote him. You posted cover images, claiming to be the copyright owner, which could only be true if you were indeed professionally connected. If you aren't, then you would be in serious jeopardy of a block for blatant copyvio. It's not nice to take something that belongs to someone else and claim that it is your own. I'd like to see an explanation before anything goes further here. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 16:09, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
All what happened was just misunderstanding, I am not the musician and I am not someone who got paid to promote for him, I am just a fan of this musician, I uploaded the covers becuase i bought them with the CD, I wanted just to improve that article, but I never meant to promote for his products or to get money from him, if i know that this will be spamming or promoting of course i will never post it, because i know it's prohibited and it will be deleted as well. I really apologize again about what happened, thank you for your clarification.
Please include a decline or accept reason.

- You haven't addressed the issue that you lied about owning the copyrights of the images you uploaded. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 15:33, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
I told you honestly that was covers of his albums that I bought, and i scanned them, even you can find them in google, but if it's not public photo, then i am liar and i am sorry for that, why you don't want to give me second chance? i told you it's misunderstanding happened, so give me chance but don't block me for more than one week and block the other people in the same IP range, please tell me exactly what are you going to do, if you are going to block me forever, or if you need anything else so you can unblock me, I am not an animal to beg you in this way

- I have unblocked you on some specific conditions: 1) you don't go near the Vastry article. 2) You do not upload any images unless you have taken them personally with your own camera. You need to understand that even though you bought the CDs, you do not own the rights to the music nor to the cover art. They are protected by copyright, and to claim that you own the copyright when you don't, as you did, is actually a crime in the U.S., where the Wikipedia servers are located. You are free to edit other articles, and I hope you have an enjoyable time from here on out contributing to the encyclopedia. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 14:27, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Amr mostafa
[edit]The article Amr mostafa has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not notable. Insignificant coverage in secondary sources.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bladeofgrass (talk) 17:38, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
