Years[edit]

I do not see the points in adding how many years it has been since a team was established. This makes unnecessary work for us because it will have to be manually updated every year. I do not see why the year isn't enough. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 04:11, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't seem worthwhile to me, either, but I thought it should be mentioned that the correct way to do it is with templates. For example, in the Baltimore Bullets (1944–1954) article, it would be done like this:

| founded = {{Start date and age|1944}}

| folded = {{End date and age|1954}}
