Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

  • Respect intellectual property rights - do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
  • Maintain a neutral point of view when editing articles - this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, doing so will result your account being blocked from editing.

Image source problem with Image:Fantasia - when i see you.ogg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Fantasia - when i see you.ogg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:13, 7 August 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sdrtirs (talk) 19:13, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Fantasia - when i see you.ogg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Fantasia - when i see you.ogg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs (talk) 19:13, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Midi Mafia"[edit]

A page you created, Midi Mafia, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a band or other musical group, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for musical groups in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 20:04, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Midi Mafia[edit]

A tag has been placed on Midi Mafia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. - Icewedge (talk) 20:25, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Midi Mafia[edit]

A tag has been placed on Midi Mafia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:MIDI ART BACK.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MIDI ART BACK.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:21, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising[edit]

This is not the place to advertise for your clients. Tan ǀ 39 15:05, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The fact that you are being compensated to create this page creates a gigantic conflict of interests. Please see also WP:BAND. If MIDI Mafia meets our criteria for inclusion the best thing to do would be to request an article be created at WP:AFC to avoid the COI issue present here. –xeno (talk) 18:37, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 18:43, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(moved from User talk:Tanthalas39 The page was already there for about a year. We were just updating it. And yes what does compensation matter. Making a Wikipedia page is not an easy task. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Visionarieslyphics (talkcontribs) 18:42, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, didn't notice that. Yes, it appears your conflict of interest updating is what lead to it turning from a poorly written article into a blatant advertisement. Conflict. Of. Interests.. Get some reliable sources together and post a request at WP:AFC so someone can write a well-sourced article from a neutral point of view about these lads. –xeno (talk) 18:46, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And there is no conflict of interest. Im am only posting facts no opinions. So say i really like MIDI Mafia wouldnt that be a conflict of interest? There is nothing wrong with someone asking you to do their page. Especially people in their position.

If you don't mind can I get your email account so I can send you about 20 magazine articles that they have been in.

"deadly combination " ... "masterfully assembling" ... "winning formula" ... "Bruce Waynne lending his distinctive vocals, performing charismatic hooks and visual songwriting style, while Dirty Swift applying his DJ influenced methodologies and technical expertise generated what the music industry describes as a ready-made hit". That sounds like a lot of opinion with no sources to confirm it as fact. Go to WP:AFC and follow the instructions. Provide the links to articles/etc. –xeno (talk) 18:52, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok no problem I didnt see that. Can we at least put their discography on their page for the time being.

I dont care if all the other stuff is gone. All i care about is when people type in MIDI Mafia Wikipedia a page pops up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Visionarieslyphics (talkcontribs) 19:05, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I've put the wheels in motion, and I'll see what I can do about restoring it to the earlier version. But what I would suggest is that if the page is restored, you do not edit it - because you have a conflict of interests. You can, however, suggest changes on the talk page. –xeno (talk) 19:09, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here are some sources just for you to see: http://www.ascap.com/press/2008/0624_rhythmsoulawards.aspx,http://hiphopruckus.blogspot.com/2007/05/introducing-midi-mafia.html, http://www.sixshot.com/articles/11674/, http://mixonline.com/recording/mixing/audio_midi_mafia/..........Timeing is everything. We cant wait for some one to take months creating a page. If some one can create it in the next few days that would be fine. But I know that is impossible. i read that some pages take more than a year to create. If there is a speedy way to create it. Please let me know and i will have no problem sending a bounce of sources. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Visionarieslyphics (talkcontribs) 19:12, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Click here and paste all the sources you have. Preferably just the reliable ones (published magazines - no blogs or anything). –xeno (talk) 19:15, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have a bunch of magazine clippings (jpgs). Only some links can i send those? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Visionarieslyphics (talkcontribs) 19:19, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can't upload the clippings, they're copyvio. But you can quote/source from them, give me the name of the publication, the date, the author and some relevant quotes... put it on your userpage as i linked above. links are best though. –xeno (talk) 19:21, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Let's continue the discussion here, Tan has allowed us to restore the page to the prior version before it was edited in a conflict of interests. Work on getting me those sources. –xeno (talk) 19:47, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ok no problem. How long will it take to assemble the page?

  • It's back up, but it'll take me a while to expand it. Email the clippings to xenowiki@gmail.com –xeno (talk) 20:01, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

Did you receive the email?

Yep... I made some changes based on it. As far as discography, I think it should be confined to only the most notable singles they've produced, singles that have performed well on the charts. –xeno (talk) 15:41, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Cashmere Agency, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Cashmere Agency is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Cashmere Agency, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Speedy deletion of Cashmere Agency[edit]

A tag has been placed on Cashmere Agency, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. AfD nomination of Cashmere Agency[edit]

I have nominated Cashmere Agency, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cashmere Agency. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Jezhotwells (talk) 00:49, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
