Formatting
[edit]Thanks for your new article on The Treehouse. I've been busily cleaning it up, and I thought I might point out some formatting tricks to you that will help:
- The tag <br/> is not needed. The WikiMedia software can figure out where paragraphs belong based on other clues, such as double spacing between paragraphs, and an actual line break (not a coded line break) between a header (== Header ==) and the following text. Specifically, if you do place the <br/> tag at the end of a header line, the WikiMedia software won't recognize the header, which makes the page formatting appear somewhat strange.
- Read up on the techniques for creating citations so that they actually appear in the references section of the article.
- Read up on the guidelines for notability of bands. I'm not sure that The Treehouse meets these criteria, and thus the article may well end up being deleted. If you can provide more evidence that the band has achieved some degree of notability, please do so. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:06, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
The article The Treehouse (band) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:57, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
