Editing of the Engram Wikipedia page has begun in my sandbox with great success. I have included more citations and found citations for current uncited material. I am breaking up the information into different headings emphasizing the importance of each topic. I will also be discussing different theories as well as brain areas that are specialized to certain functions. Topics will include experiments, learning, Hebb rule, hippocampal system, consolidation, amnesias, working memory, long-term memory and executive function. Please check my sandbox for edits. Hello! My name is Alyssa Cheadle. This semester, I will be available to provide help in understanding how to get work done in Wikipedia.
I am a graduate student in Psychology at UCLA. Last semester, I edited Wikipedia articles as part of a course in Social Psychology. I worked on the article "Just World Hypothesis," and I was able to nominate my article for a Wikipedia "Did You Know" feature. I found the assignment effective in helping me learn about my topic, the culture and norms of Wikipedia, and writing articles from a neutral point of view for a lay audience. I learned some valuable lessons while completing my assignment and I will be glad to offer advice to you!
