Blocked

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Just to confirm that you have now been indefinitely blocked for continued block evasion and disruptive editing. This means you cannot edit from any named account or IP address. Please remember that "indefinite" is not the same as "infinite." If you wish to be unblocked, instructions are above. GiantSnowman 09:55, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I've appealed twice to be unblocked. I've had emails turning down the appeals. I have no idea how all this works. My IP's and My accounts have all been blocked. It's getting beyond a joke. Simply unblock this account. Simple really. Otherwise a contributor with known facts and figures about players and the clubs history will just leave wiki for good. Thanks to a so called administrator who believes they know best. When in fact all they know is incorrect information on a website. Sad really that Wikipedia, supposedly for the masses, loses a poster woth knowledge. I cannot edit my settings or see how to email someone either. What a joke this wiki thing has become. Very sad, very sad.

Decline reason:

Yes, your accounts and IPs have been blocked, because you are supposed to only edit from a single account. Also, you should provide sources to support your edits, and refrain from edit warring. PhilKnight (talk) 21:47, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I am happy to unblock you on two fronts - firstly, going forward you agree to edit only from this account - no other named accounts, no IPs. Secondly, I ask that once you are unblocked, and before making any edits to the article in question, you e-mail me a copy of the evidence you state you have to show John Buttieg signed for Brentford in 1988. That is the reason for your original block - repeated addition of unreferenced material to a WP:BLP. GiantSnowman 20:02, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Send me your email address then to briers@tinyworld.co.uk, I cannot be bothered to look, or even try to find out, how to email someone on here via their own page. I added references to all my edits, no edits were vandalism - do you seriously believe that a supporter and historian of over 40 years would damage his own football clubs wiki page/website? Seriously? even updating one page for John Buttigieg, showing he played for Malta in October 1988 whilst contracted to Brentford FC. If you aren't willing to email me, then that is your problem, I'll leave wiki to have incorrect information left on it's website. That'll look good wouldn't it?

I've already given you my stipulations as the blocking admin. I'll leave your unblock request 'open' and see if a passing admin will take mercy on you in the meantime, although all they need to do is check the edit history of John Buttigieg (footballer) to see edits such as this which show no reliable source being used to add information about a living person. For now I'm off to bed. GiantSnowman 20:21, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Still blocked? Cannot update the page with correct info on mark Warburton's managerial record to date. Also wish to add a cap to O'Shaughnessy, he now has 2 u-21 caps whilst a Bees player. I also have names of brentford players who played for England schoolboys from the 1950's, it's not on the net, as most schoolboy caps aren't listed anywhere, so how can these be cited with a reliable source?

I'll repeat, I have already given you my conditions for unblocking you. Continuing to block evade (latest IP 82.132.219.78 (talk · contribs · WHOIS)) is not helping your case. GiantSnowman 09:13, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Look. You're not helping yourself. Your IPs and accounts are blocked for block evasion and sockpuppetry. Listen to me. You are not worth more than any other contributor. Not for your knowledge of football or anything else. Putting unsubstantiated information into a BLP is worth a block for any user. No blocked user can just assert that they should be unblocked and have it done. Nobody. And the fact that you're too lazy to, I don't know, go to the search bar to figure out how to email is not encouraging. Agree to GiantSnowman's conditions. He's only trying to help you.
