David Ho

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Cat12zu3. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on David Ho, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Cat12zu3 (talk) 18:46, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to David Ho. Thank you. Cat12zu3 (talk) 19:27, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Wc2713! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at David Ho that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Wc2713. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page David Ho, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Knitsey (talk) 19:09, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Wc2713:, you've been editing the above article without providing reliable sources. If the subject is separated/divorced from his wife then you will need to add references then add further references detailing any new relationship. When someone's relationships change, we don't delete them from Wikipedia, instead we add (with suitable references) to that, we don't wipe out someones details as if it never happened. Please note that you need to answer the above conflict of interest notice and disclose any relationship you may have to the subject before you edit the article.

Many thanks, Knitsey (talk) 19:16, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
