Welcome![edit]

Hello, Whitloe, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Raquel Rabinovich did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  ThatMontrealIP (talk) 19:12, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! please don not remove sourced material, as editors have taken time to find those sources. Your edit to the page mentioned above removed sources and added unsourced material, which was going in the wrong direction. It also used inline links rather than references.Some of the links above may be helpful in understanding the many policies! ThatMontrealIP (talk) 19:13, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sources and Conflict of Interest.[edit]

I reverted your repeated addition of unsourced material at Raquel Rabinovich. I also noted your very specific additions to George Quasha. How do you know who took his portrait? Did you know George Quasha and Rabinovich have had shows together? Please read our Conflict of Interest guidelines. The encyclopedia is neutral, and direct editing by article subjects is very strongly discouraged.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 20:07, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I know the person who took the photo of George Quasha, that is how I know the source.— Preceding unsigned comment added by whitloe (talkcontribs)
In that case you are advised not to edit the page, as you have a clear conflict of interest if you know the article subjects personally. See the notice below as well. You get several warnings in Wikipedia, and if you ignore them, your account gets blocked. We are here to create an impartial encyclopedia. Our method for generating neutral content is to use third party sources (many of which you have been intent on removing). We do not rely on the well-intentioned knowledge of friends of the article subject, at all. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 20:52, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

August 2019[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Raquel Rabinovich, you may be blocked from editing. Stop removing sourced material. Last warning– you risk having your account blocked. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 20:50, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am not removing information but simply adding to the page..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whitloe (talkcontribs)
you have removed sourced material multiple times. I see since the last warning above that you have now again added unsourced material. Seriously, if you want to continue editing, stop being disruptive and read WP:VERIFIABLE.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 23:19, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Adding unverified material[edit]

Hello! I see you are very intent on adding the year this artist remarried. If you do so you need to have a source, per WP:VERIFIABLE. The given source does not say she remarried. If you find a published source you can add it back. Where did you find the fact that they remarried?ThatMontrealIP (talk) 23:02, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

please explain your conflict of interest[edit]

Your edits to Raquel Rabinovich are very suspicious. You are what we call a single purpose account: here just to edit and advocate for a single subject. Please explain a) if you personally know her, or b) if you are being paid to edit her page, or c) if you have a professional connection to her. As well, do not remove sourced material from articles as you recently did at Raquel Rabinovich.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 18:02, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

PS: you can expect your account to be blocked if you remove sourced material again, as you have been warned three times now.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 18:03, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Whitloe. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page George Quasha, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See WP:PAID. You also have a conflict of interest on the Rabinovich article.
