Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to Machu Picchu, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Wikipedia cannot state it it own voice that "t appears that the masonry at Machu Picchu cannot be reproduced by using any known tools today. Furthermore, there is no technology capable of moving these massive stones or assembling them so precisely." Not unless you can find a mainstream source, and even then you'd have to attribute it. It simply isn't true. Dougweller (talk) 15:01, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I removed statements that are baloney but were presented as fact: That the stones can't be crafted or moved by modern technology. Nonsense. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 15:08, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I think the problem here may be that you wrote "It appears that the masonry at Machu Picchu cannot be reproduced by using any known tools today. Furthermore, there is no technology capable of moving these massive stones or assembling them so precisely." while perhaps meaning to say that "New Age" or whatever writers "believe that the masonry at Machu Picchu cannot be reproduced by using any known tools today. Furthermore, there is no technology capable of moving these massive stones or assembling them so precisely." If that's what you meant and you can provide a quote to that effect (and also one where Hill mentions aliens), then please do so on the talk page and it can probably be included, suitably attributed. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 15:20, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
