Welcome[edit]

Hi, Wikirizzle. Your contributions to football biographies and other articles are appreciated. I am not sure I understand some of the deletions you have made in some of these articles, however. In particular, I did not understand your deletions of reliable sources, as you did, for example, at Clint Ingram and Nate Davis. These bio pages are biographies of living persons: under Wikipedia's current policies, these sorts of articles (and indeed, all Wikipedia articles) need more reliable sources, not fewer.

Let me also recommend that you begin using edit summaries with your edits. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and helps prevent legitimate edits, like yours, from being mistaken for vandalism). This is especially the case with deletions, because an edit deleting substantial content or sources, without explanation, can easily be perceived as a form of vandalism called "blanking". Edit summaries are also helpful to users reading the edit history of a page.

Again, welcome, and thanks for your contributions. Best, --Arxiloxos (talk) 18:26, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On a similar vein, I've noticed that some of your edits have occasionally removed important material. For example, these edits removed the mention of "American football" from the introduction. The sport an athlete plays is crucial to their biography, and it needs to be mentioned (and linked to) specifically in the introduction. Additionally, as Arxiloxos said, you should include an edit summary with your edits letting other editors know what changes you've made. Otherwise, your edits have been most helpful and productive. Please keep up the good work, and if you need any help, please feel free to drop me a line.--Cúchullain t/c 15:39, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
