Ed Kalnins
I am a mathematician, formerly at Stanford for eleven years. I wrote my first articles for Wikipedia today, and I have spent the entire day arguing with editors and administrators about whether Ed Kalnins, the pastor of Republican Vice Presidential Sarah Palins (who many are saying was chosen only because of her religous appeal, even by Karl Rove) was a notable person.
I quoted from videotapes on Kalnins' own web page and provided links. Yet all of the quotes and links were deleted. Why? Why was thediscussion page deleted when I complained abuot this?
I was accused of writing an attack page, with no specifics at all. I asked for an example of why, and I was told that I was clearly biased, with no specificity.
I was told that I would be banned from Wikipedia if I wrote such an attack again. Yet the only thing in my article was three quotes from Kalnins, which are now blocked from Wikipedia by someone.
The link on the Wikipedia Sarah Palins page going to Wasilla Assembly of God has also been broken, and no reference to her pastor is allowed to be make on the page.

Deletion of page Blu mar ten
Hello. I haven't edited Wikipedia in a long time, but I thought I would ask why you have nominated the article Blu mar ten for speedy deletion. I am not the page author, and agree it needs some work, but the artist is not non-notable - they were one of the major artists on Good Looking Records, another article which also needs work. The problem may be that there has been a problem for many people editing articles based on Drum and bass, and so they are all relatively weak. However, I feel that Wikipedia affords articles to many artists from smaller or niche genres, and that Blu mar ten deserve one by virtue of their past importance to a specific music scene and their continued activity as DJs and producers within the scene.
I don't keep an active user page any more, but will continue to watch this talk page and the article in question.I have copied this comment onto the talk page there. I would rather not go through the whole votes for deletion process, or even speedy deletion, as it seems a bit redundant when a search for the artist name on amazon.com will bring up a whole list of releases on various record labels. Thanks for giving me the message of 'Good Effort'. DJ Warrior's page is 100% accurate and official information. I am being attacked although by one user who consistently attempts to shut down pages of notable nature. I was wondering if you could leave a message on the discussion page for the DJ Warrior entry saying you approve of it staying. Contestion of the Deletion of James Herbert Jones Page
Just thought I'd inform you. Man its tough around here. You start an article nad people put it up for deletion while you're working on it. He was a former Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard, a Major General in the Army Officer Reserves, and a twelve term state auditor, one of Arkansas Longest serving state officials ever. He was major political figure for many years, and even worked with Bil Clinton in several of his campaigns for Governor and President. I think his notability speaks for itself, it is part of the Arkansas Bio Project, and the establishment of more information on notable current and former statewide officials of prominence.--Robert Waalk (talk) 21:07, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Not sure what happened, I put the hangon tag on the article and went away to marshall arguments as to why it should go through the AfD process, but when I came back some officious bugger had already deleted it. Not a progressive step as it leaves an obvious gap in the matrix of Wikipedia articles on diver training organisations. --Legis (talk - contribs) 11:34, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi. About 3 minutes after I created an article titled "Reliable multicast", you undid my create. (As it turns out, I already had it in an edit window and when I save it, the page was re-created.) At the top of your talk page, it says that you don't delete pages, you nominate them for speedy deletion. Did I do something bad enough to justify deviation from your normal process? - No, I do not have the ability to delete any page (even if that were my desire). Only an administrator can do that and I'm not one of those. I didn't even nominate that one actually, I think that I just fixed a link (there may have been some weird error). Sometimes pages can be deleted really quickly, which can be frustrating. You just have to try and make sure that when it is created it has enough content, references etc, so that it'll pass the quick look that jerks like me will give it. A tag has been placed on Jean-Frederic Mognetti requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Hey Woland
I have a request for you, an admin deleted my entry on DJ Warrior, but restored it to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Journaldiction/DJ_Warrior so a proper decision can be reached, considering it is properly referenced and notable. Is it possible that you could leave a quick comment on the discussion saying that you approve of it being kept on wikipedia? considering you said that it met notability no.5 under frequently covered in published works. Speedy Deletion Tagging
Hey there, Woland. I noticed you tagged Random scribble for deletion as pure vandalism. The page was obviously created as an editing test (it was inviting people to test stuff out, but asking them not to violate policy!) and it was clear that the editor was unaware of the sandbox. Because of that, it's a little bitey to tag it as vandalism. I've changed the tag to {{db-test}} and left a note for the user, but perhaps in the future you could watch out for this type of pages, and be sure to use the test tag instead of vandalism. Thanks!
