It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

Songs articles

Hi Woutdrumsticks and welcome to Wikipedia. I see you've created many articles about songs, including "When The Snow Falls", "Japanese Lovesong", "Last Words" and "Way Of The West". However, please note that some of them don't meet criteria of notability mentioned on WP:NSONG that says : "Most songs do not rise to notability for an independent article and should redirect to another relevant article, such as for the songwriter, a prominent album or for the artist who prominently performed the song. Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts, that have won significant awards or honors or that have been performed independently by several notable artists, bands or groups are probably notable. Notability aside, a separate article on a song is only appropriate when there is enough verifiable material to warrant a reasonably detailed article; articles unlikely ever to grow beyond stubs should be merged to articles about an artist or album." These articles can be nominated for deletion, as they fail all criteria mentioned above (peaking at number 50 on a single chart is not considered as a proof of notability if there is no other reference establishing it). In addition, the goal of Wikipedia is not to have many small pages that will never expanded, but encyclopedic articles which provide plenty of informations (composition, critical reception, charts and certifications, cover versions...). I think it should be good to expand the Ten Sharp article instead of creating a lot of stub pages. Regards, --Europe22 (talk) 18:44, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
