Fair use rationale for File:JapaneseLovesong7.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:JapaneseLovesong7.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Lәo(βǃʘʘɱ) 02:34, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:WTSFcd.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:WTSFcd.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 06:37, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Way_Of_The_West_7.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Way_Of_The_West_7.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Songs articles[edit]

Hi Woutdrumsticks and welcome to Wikipedia. I see you've created many articles about songs, including "When The Snow Falls", "Japanese Lovesong", "Last Words" and "Way Of The West". However, please note that some of them don't meet criteria of notability mentioned on WP:NSONG that says : "Most songs do not rise to notability for an independent article and should redirect to another relevant article, such as for the songwriter, a prominent album or for the artist who prominently performed the song. Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts, that have won significant awards or honors or that have been performed independently by several notable artists, bands or groups are probably notable. Notability aside, a separate article on a song is only appropriate when there is enough verifiable material to warrant a reasonably detailed article; articles unlikely ever to grow beyond stubs should be merged to articles about an artist or album." These articles can be nominated for deletion, as they fail all criteria mentioned above (peaking at number 50 on a single chart is not considered as a proof of notability if there is no other reference establishing it). In addition, the goal of Wikipedia is not to have many small pages that will never expanded, but encyclopedic articles which provide plenty of informations (composition, critical reception, charts and certifications, cover versions...). I think it should be good to expand the Ten Sharp article instead of creating a lot of stub pages. Regards, --Europe22 (talk) 18:44, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Way Of The West (Ten Sharp song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NM : no award, no chart, no cover version, no coverage

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Europe22 (talk) 23:43, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Way Of The West (Ten Sharp song), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Way Of The West (Ten Sharp song). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Europe22 (talk) 00:12, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
