The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to TrueNAS, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Hello Tim!

I am employed by iXsystems, the parent company of the TrueNAS brand.

I am not however portraying TrueNAS with facts that may sway someones decision to use the software. Nor do I make edits that violate a neutral point of view. My role here is to update the wiki with relevant information and maintain the page with updates that come out as they roll out. For example, my most recent update with the SCALE table is being added because that is the latest software release for that Release Train and is missing from the wiki page.

I am employed by iX and paid to make updates as needed. HOWEVER, I am NOT paid to relay TrueNAS is a good light, just to relay TrueNAS as facts. For example, we still have the bit about FreeNAS Corrall, which for our company was a big failure. We keep this information because our users need to know this information. All information that is edited is public information that can be found in our documentation and not a conflict of information.

From now on, I will suggest edits rather than just make them. Is there a time frame (such as 30 days) where if they do not get implemented I can go ahead and approve them myself? The information that I will be adding will be on a monthly basis when we have a new releases to our software.

TrueNAS

Hello. I've removed quite a bit of unsourced and otherwise non-encyclopedic content from the TrueNAS article. I would suggest reading through Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide and other relevant information pages, and using the edit request process going forward instead of editing the article directly. I have requested muiltiple edit requests before however nobody has added them. Is there a time frame (such as 30 days) where if they do not get implemented I can go ahead and approve them myself?T he information that I will be adding will be on a monthly basis when we have a new releases to our software just information, no marketing fluff that would sway a users opinion on the software.

How is the version table considered "non-encyclopedic" and unsourced?

Is it considered unsourced because it was linked to iXsystems documentation? I am not sure who else would source that information since they are the ones that create the software... Wsoteros (talk) 19:23, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
