Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. - Some further observations: we don't add trivia sections to articles. Even if there is an existing In popular culture section, there are rules for inclusion. First, a cultural reference can't be cited to the reference itself; it must be cited to an independent third-party source. It's simply not interesting that Jung mentioned something; it's only interesting if somebody else took note of what Jung said about X and if it illuminates our knowledge of the subject of the article. So, unless someone else pointed out that Jung said something about X and goes on to discuss some interesting facts about Jung's relationship with X, it doesn't get included. Hope this helps. As Wikipedia editors, we are not permitted to be the origin of the observation, we are only permitted to report on the observations of others. Skyerise (talk) 13:08, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
- ok, thanks for explanation! So before you remove my future edits, maybe better discuss them here:
- I can add this to Jung's own article, under the travel section "india". this would be first hand. "... Jung mentions this gopuram in india and uses it for explaining ..." would that be ok?
- also, I am going to put the influence of Jung on Phil Hine on his page, because that's what he himself says clearly in his interview. would that be ok?
- Same for Austin Spare, but this time I would cite Carroll commenting the influence of Jung on him during an interview. This would perfectly match your explanations, right?
