Linking, the company, other[edit]

Hello, and thank you for writing on my talk page. I'll try to reply to your questions there, but since you raise a number of points I shan't attempt to answer all of them in one go, but rather will first look at one or two of them.

If you want to link to a regular article here -- e.g. Mary Ellen Mark (as opposed to pages about how to edit Wikipedia, pages such as this one, etc) -- you do so simply by putting its title within double brackets: "[[Mary Ellen Mark]]".

Thank you for saying clearly on my talk page that you are working for the company. It would be a good idea to say the same on your user page; when you later make edits relevant to the company (as you are welcome to do in talk pages, and as you are entitled to do within articles as well), nobody would then be able to accuse you of misrepresenting yourself.

Editing Wikipedia is not a hobby that first appeals to so many people, but all the same I strongly encourage you to do some minor tinkering -- fixing a spelling mistake here, removing an unwarranted value judgment there -- to articles that have no relation to your job. You may then feel like adding work-unrelated material too; but even if you don't, you'll have got more of a feel for Wikipedia from the inside as well as the outside. And of course you'll have improved a few articles. -- Hoary (talk) 00:47, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
