some advice![edit]

Hi YourPaleoPractitioner... again, welcome to WP. Some quick pointers::

there are some fundmental policies in WP that govern what we do here - here are some top level ones:

no original research is allowed (see WP:OR)
instead, everything in WP must be based on what we call reliable sources, that are cited in-line (see WP:VERIFY)
for health-related content, a "reliable source" is defined in this guideline: WP:MEDRS. outside of health, "reliable sources" are defined in [{WP:RS]]
really importantly, WP article strive to have what we call a "neutral point of view" as described in WP:NPOV (this does not mean what most people think it means - please do read it)

Those are really key things that every WP editor needs to know.
