Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Per WP:INTDABLINK, MOS:DAB, links intentionally pointing to disambiguation pages must be piped through "foo (disambiguation)" redirects, to avoid creating false positive error reports that disrupt the work of disambiguators. Your edit here caused such a disruption. Please do not do this, and if you have done so anywhere else, please reverse the edit immediately. Cheers! bd2412 T 04:21, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Huntington Park California

[edit]

Hi, Zeneky,

I notice you reverted my edit of Huntington Park, California, in which I removed the reference to the "Miserable Cities" list. I put my explanation on the talk page:

I don't know anything about Huntington Park, but Business Insider's "Most Miserable Cities" article is nothing but click-bait. They seem to publish "most miserable" everything. Sometimes they use Arthur Okun's misery index, which is perhaps a reasonable way to measure economic misery, and based on a legitimate academic theory. However, the ratings used here are based on an arbitrary weighting of arbitrarily chosen data from a Census Bureau report. A different choice of data or a different weighting would give entirely different results. Reporters are not qualified to do this kind of work. In some sense, this violates wikipedia's "No Original Research" policy, because this was original "research" on the part of the reporter.
Because of this, I am going to remove the comment about Huntington Park's rating based on that news story.

I hope you'll agree that this is not appropriate material for wikipedia and remove it. Ngriffeth (talk) 13:17, 16 October 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ngriffeth (talkcontribs)
