External links[edit]

On this edit of yours: I don't see how "bentamax.com" is relevant to Betamax, and therefore removed the link.

Your other edits all seem to link to something called Eric's kanji site, which is supposed to be a fun way to learn Japanese. I can't understand how it's fun, but even if it were fun links to it would be unlikely to accord with Wikipedia policies. Please read "WP:EL". Thank you. -- Hoary (talk) 06:30, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to eBay. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 14:40, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. I think it's kind of inconsistent and in my opinion being unfair, when sometimes I posted an external link in here, and it lasted for a very long period of time, and then I edited it coz I changed the host of the site, but you just removed my link without ever thinking that it was there for a long time. Thus, I think it's very unsystematic of yours. Sorry but this is my opinion.

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated.Canterbury Tail talk 20:02, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
