Vila Malanza, locally as Malanza is a village in Caué District on São Tomé Island in São Tomé and Príncipe. Its population is 448 (2008 est.).[1] It is also the seat of a subdistrict (equivalent to a municipality) that covers the south of Caué. Vila Malanza is located north of Porto Alegre and is also south of Santa Josefina and southwest of Monte Mário and sits west of Baía de Iago Iago. The whole locality forms a part of Obo Natural Park. As to the entire south part of the island and the district, its primary language is Angolar creole.
The village was first founded after 1883 and named it after Jacinto Carneiro de Sousa Almeira, Viscount Malanza who made a couple of cocoa plantations in the area.

About the village
Agriculture is the dominant industry as well as fishing. Cocoa and coffee has been the dominant crop and covers the whole village's production.
