Velan Nandhakumaran with Wayne Gretzky Award for the season in April, 2015

Wayne Gretzky Award is presented annually for youth ice hockey players who exemplify athletic ability, scholastic achievement and Community involvement. It is named for Wayne Gretzky.[1][2]

The award should not be confused with the similarly named Wayne Gretzky Trophy, presented annually to the playoff champion of the OHL's Western Conference OR Wayne Gretzky 99 Award, presented annually to the Most Valuable Player in the Ontario Hockey League playoffs.[3]
