Bacon Challenge 2011[edit]

One day after the ending of the Bacon Challenge 2010, ChildofMidnight kicked off the Bacon Challenge 2011, which is currently going on. The challenge lasts nearly a year, as it is due to end on National Pig Day 2011. The Bacon Wikicup also makes a re-appearance in this challenge.

Bacon Challenge 2010[edit]

In late-2009, the second Bacon Challenge, the Bacon Challenge 2010, was started up by ChildofMidnight. 27 participants signed up. This event marked the creation of the Bacon Wikicup by Sky Attacker, a bacon-themed variation of the regular Wikipedia WikiCup where users scored points for their contributions. Sky Attacker served as the scorekeeper for the beginning of the cup, but the position was later passed on to SuperHamster. The event ended with the creation of many articles, image uploads, DYKs, and article expansions, among other things.

Bacon Challenge 2009[edit]

2009 marked the opening and closing of the Bacon Challenge 2009, the first Bacon Challenge to take place. 7 editors signed up for the event, and the result of the challenge was several new articles and 12 DYKs.
