The Carmarthenshire Coast Path starts at Binea near Llanelli and ends to the west of Amroth, a distance of . It includes a variety of terrain, including fresh water marshes, salt marshes, sand dunes and pine forests. Interesting places include: Cydweli, Ferryside, Llansteffan and Laugharne. Some of the coastal activities available on this part of the Wales Coast Path include: Coasteering, Surfing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Sea Kayaking, Lan, Yachting, Gorge Walking, Abseiling/Rock Climbing, Mud Assault Course, Mountain Biking, Archery, High Ropes / Zip Line, Caving, Body Boarding, Raft Building, Walking and Bushcraft.
Tywi Trail. Starting at Carmarthen, the Tywi Trail stretches for 55 miles (88 km). Along the way there is stunning scenery as you pass through the Tywi Valley with a glimpse into Carmarthenshire's history with sites such as Y Garn Goch, an Iron Age fortress.
Teifi Trail. The Teifi Trail is 73 miles (118 km) long, starts at Cenarth and finishes at Cwmann near Lampeter, and offers many alternative routes along the trail. The Tywi is considered one of the best places for fishing in Wales, and offers a wide range of scenery along the valley.
St Clears to Llansteffan. This is a 9-mile (14 km) hike that starts at the ruins of the 12th-century St Clears Castle, before passing through farmland and then a final steep ascent up to Llansteffan, with views of Caldey Island.
