There are a number of smaller trails very near the Coast Path, which often take users inland on shorter routes; these include:
Aberaeron circular walk (SN458628). This 3.5-mile (5.6 km) walk follows the Wales Coast Path for a few miles south before turning inland and up a few steep steps. Choughs, Buzzards and Peregrine Falcons can be seen along the path, which is maintained by Ceredigion County Council.[1]
A walk around Llangrannog (SN312542). This circular coastal walk enjoys views to the Llŷn Peninsula, is 3 to 4 miles (4.8 to 6.4 km)* in length and takes a couple of hours to complete. At the bay's entrance lies the great rock of Carreg Bicca: legend has it that it is the remains of a tooth ripped out from the mouth of the giant Bicca and thrown into the ocean.
Cwmtydu to New Quay. This is an 8-mile (13 km) moderate circular walk along part of the Wales Coast Path and back inland. The start could be the car park at either Cwm Tydy or at New Quay. It runs past the former coastguard lookout at Birds Rock.
