Free Cooper Focus[edit]

This New York Edit-a-thon will have a focus on building Wikipedia content about the recent Free Cooper Union movement activities and other recent activism in New York, but attendees are welcome to work on any topic and will receive assistance on locating the inbuilt Wikipedia communities and organizing bodies adding contributions to their topics of interest.

Wikipedians will be in attendance all day to provide instruction and will be laboriously editing articles as well.

Adding to Wikipedia content is an exercise in research, and writing to avoid biasing language, and an act of community engagement. It allows also you to instantaneously share your knowledge and subject specialties with an international community. The average American takes a look at 5 Wikipedia articles a day and Wikipedia is consistently in the top two search results on any given topic.

Offsite virtual participation encouraged.
