As part of a wave of activism and media highlighting the work of disabled artists and disability artistry in New York City and beyond, the goal of this event is to build the momentum forward with the help of our community.
Presented by Eyebeam, Art + Feminism, and Wikimedia NYC, we invite you to join us at Eyebeam on Friday, May 10th from 3:00 PM to 9:00PM. Training will be provided by Wikimedia NYC and no previous Wikipedia editing experience is necessary. This Edit-a-Thon will work on addressing the gaps and deficiencies across pages related to disabled artists on Wikipedia. The goal is to bolster the presence of disabled artists by adding details, pages, and pictures, and to make this information accessible. Please bring your own laptop!
Training will be provided by Wikimedia NYC, and no previous Wikipedia experience necessary. Please bring a laptop! Coffee, refreshments, and snacks will be provided by Eyebeam.
- RSVPs are appreciated
- All attendees are expected to adhere to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct.
