  1. Why do you want to be a Wikipedia Ambassador?
I believe that on Wikipedia there are only a small number of people (not necessarily me!) with the expertise and knowledge to write articles. Other people who perform gnomish tasks might not want to involve themselves in content creation or are not able to. I'd like to pass on some of my experience to those guys
  2. In three sentences or less, summarize your involvement with Wikimedia projects.
On En.Wiki, I've done a lot of content creation, as my 20 GAs and 1 FA can tell. I've participated in other tasks including new-page patrol, vandal fighting and reviewing other articles.
  3. Please indicate a few articles to which you have made significant content contributions. (e.g. DYK, GA, FA, major revisions/expansions/copyedits).
Airbus A330, McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II, General Dynamics F-111C, Hawker Siddeley P.1154, Neil Armstrong (all GA), and Northrop YF-23 (FA)..
  4. How have you been involved with welcoming and helping new users on Wikipedia?
No. I've posted welcoming messages, but have not fully immersed myself in the area of welcoming new contributors.
  5. What do you see as the most important ways we could welcome newcomers or help new users become active contributors?
Always answer their requests thoroughly, stick with them as they do their tasks, and direct them to new sources of info/assistance such as IRC.
  6. Have you had major conflicts with other editors? Blocks or bans? Involvement in arbitration? Feel free to offer context, if necessary.
No, I haven't had and major conflict with any editor.
  7. How often do you edit Wikipedia and check in on ongoing discussions? Will you be available regularly for at least two hours per week, in your role as a mentor?
I spend a lot of time online, and I will be available regularly as I often spend at least 3 hours a day working on Wikipedia.
  8. What else should we know about you that is relevant to being a Wikipedia Ambassador?
I am always on IRC at [1].
