Putin[edit]

Original - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin

High EV, high resolution. Pose looks nice (IMHO). I'm a little concerned about the pixelation in the flag, so I've brought it here first for some feedback.

  • As you suggest JPEG artifacting (rather than pixelation) is an issue, though to be fair it seems to have affected the background more than the subject (still an issue for FPC). Personally I find the pose surly and unengaging, but maybe that is reflective of the man... --jjron (talk) 10:05, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Possibly the man, don't think I've seen him smile before (and for some reason there are pictures of him doing everything from Karate to hunting) Crisco 1492 (talk) 09:35, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
He's quite the man of action; it's a noted part of his public-persona. Perhaps an action shot is actually more representative of him? FWIW he's smiling here, and seems to smiling (to a more restrained extent) in several other images in the article. --jjron (talk) 16:09, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
