Request protection of a page, or increasing the protection level

Reason: Persistent IP vandalism from multiple addresses (though I'm 90% sure it's the same person) PizzaKing13 (¡Hablame!) 🍕👑 01:18, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – IPs keep adding their personal commentary. Not responsive to messages. C F A 💬 03:05, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User(s) blocked: 223.25.25.6 (talk · contribs). Doesn't look like higher protection is really needed here. Elli (talk | contribs) 03:26, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: UPE user 'Acrosstheriver21' was blocked in 2021 after making COI edits to this article. Since then a series of Northern Italian based IP addresses have been editing this article in a disruptive fashion. Statements by the user on the relevant IP talk pages indicate that this is the same user, evading the block. Disruption continues and, since the film will shortly be released, further disruption can be expected. Some form of page protection would seem preferable to playing IP whack-a-mole. Further detail can be found in the relevant discussion at WP:COIN Axad12 (talk) 05:36, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the issue above…
Given the similarity of other interests (articles relating to the Raikes family and vandalism of the page for Will Johns[1]) it would seem to be plausible that the user involved above is the same as the one involved in this sockpuppet investigation[2].
If so, the user is a veteran of at least 8 different blocked accounts and 2 blocked IP addresses.
Maybe also worth protecting the articles for Will Johns (to stop vandalism), and Raikes, Raymond Raikes and Geoffrey Raikes (to dissuade against block evasion via IP addresses)? Axad12 (talk) 09:45, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Wiki-battle over the last several days including what appears to be a death threat, against the backdrop of extreme tension in Bangladesh. I suggest that protecting the page until the situation calms down would be helpful. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 05:36, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Addition of unsourced content and disruptive edits by IP. Sush150 (talk) 06:20, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing. Jalen Folf (Bark[s]) 09:03, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 1 week, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Ymblanter (talk) 09:11, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Long-term vandalism by IPs, for years as far as I remember relating to a point on involvement of Pakistani general. Makeandtoss (talk) 09:11, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Extended confirmed protection: Long-term disruptive editing and edit warring. Since January, various IPs and new accounts have been repeatedly removing referenced content, with no sign of participating in the talk page discussion. There is an ongoing cycle of accounts being blocked, and new accounts being created soon after. The user Megat Lanang was blocked indefinitely. The latest account, Ahmad Shazlan, was already temporarily blocked but continues the disruptive editing. I'm uninvolved in the dispute; it first came to my attention looking through recent changes. Thanks. GhostOfNoMeme 10:31, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
