August 11[edit]

Shooting sport[edit]

What means in shooting sport competitions "MQS Extra"? For example hier Leonprimer (talk) 14:59, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

MQS stands for Minimal Qualification Score. The round seems to be for athletes who have met that standard but have not been designated by their national team since it has already reached its quota of participants for the event. They are still allowed to participate in the championships but are not eligible to win. See item 5 here [1] --Xuxl (talk) 15:20, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

treble[edit]

Hello, all the telephones' speaker doesn't have treble? We don't hear the [s] sound when someone speaks ? 162.247.125.137 (talk) 22:23, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That lack of S sound could be the intentional result of a filter. Telephones tend to not have much bass, and that can make them annoyingly high-pitched. By filtering out the highest frequencies, too, they hope to make it more of a mid-range sound, and less annoying, I suspect. StuRat (talk) 22:37, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
