Is there any effect to describe ad commercials?

[edit]

For Soap operas, we have soap opera effect. But what about commercials? Rizosome (talk) 19:50, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How about "annoyance"? We do have an article on Fast forward, which is what we typically do when watching a recorded TV show and a commercial interrupts. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots21:01, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am asking about video processing. Rizosome (talk) 03:02, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That "soap opera effect" seems to cover a lot more than just soap operas, so why wouldn't it also apply to commercials? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots12:54, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it means altering the quality of the picture to make it look like old low-cost television, a soap opera being just an example. Alansplodge (talk) 13:52, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
