How to remove categories in Wordpress[edit]

Hello! I'm having troubles in removing the categories from my Wordpress blog. I remember it was easy and quick, but the way it works now I can't do it anymore. All the tutorials I found on the internet refer to the previous version of Wordpress... Can someone help me? Thanks a lot!
