Wikipedia:Valued picture candidates/Castel del Monte

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Original - The Castel del Monte in an UNESCO World Heritage Site in Southern Italy, featured on the reverse of the Italian-issue 1 Euro cent coin. It has been built by the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II between 1240 and 1250.
Reason
Very nice image of an important building, with only a few technical issues. Good lighting makes it look good at standard or thumbnail size. Adds great value to the articles it illustrates. The high resolution provides detailed information about the building.
