April 7[edit]

Hi,

My article has been declined because it was said not to have sufficient content to get a page of it's own and therefor should only be included in Hebrew University of Jerusalem#Edmond J. Safra, Givat Ram campus. I'd wish for both..

Besides, I'd like to declare my COI with this article - I'm working in this institute - nonetheless, I've red the COI guidelines and been trying to follow them strictly while writting it. Thanks Mikicook 19:08, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This page is not for article content. Please add additional information to your draft.

Hi I am new to the Wikipedia submission process and I have been watching for my submission to be accepted but I noticed that someone has been making changes to it. Is there any way for me to find out who has been editing and why? If this is all part of the process and I must accept it in order for the article to be approved, then that is fine - I just want to know how much room there is for rebuttal. As an example, a new chart was submitted (not be me) that stated that Jim had only 1 top ten finish and this contradicted the text of the submission as well as charts that showed that he had 5 top tens and that fact was not changed by whomever added the chart ) I have since edited the chart to say 5 top tens). by submitting this question I am not asking for anything more to be changed - I just would like to know more about how the process works and if continued editing will slow down the approval process. I was hoping to have the article accepted before Jim's birthday. thanks for your help. BobBOrlando (talk) 04:10, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@BobBOrlando: Please see the history tab of the article; several other editors have edited that page. Yes, Wikipedia is a free-for-all so be prepared to have other editors make changes. As for rebuttal, normally this sort of thing is addressed on the talk page but since your submission hasn't been accepted yet there isn't a talk page. I would recommend contacting the applicable Wikipedian(s) on their talk page(s). Please remember that everyone editing that article is trying to improve it. As has already pointed out, the subject meets our notability criteria so it will be accepted, the issue is that there aren't enough independent and reliable sources, yet. This article is a translation of the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystery_Road done by a Translation student at the University of Western Sydney as a practicum assignment (http://handbook.uws.edu.au/hbook/unit.aspx?unit=A7456.4). If submission is accepted, it should be moved to the Chinese Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.154.117.230 (talk) 04:36, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

We only review articles written in English. Do not submit a non-English draft for review, it is likely to be deleted. You should write Chinese articles at the Chinee Wikipedia, not here. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 21:13, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am Mariadcosta and had submitted Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Valanka Alemao, but it was declined. I would like to mention that her father Mr Churchill Alemao is already on wikipedia, Churchill Alemao - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Let me know if this might reverse the declination. Thanks Mariadcosta ‎ ‎ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mariadcosta (talkcontribs) 11:48, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, I'm afraid that doesn't help. Notability is usually not inherited. All articles must demonstrate notability by themselves. Even without that consideration, at the time of this post, your draft has no sources at all. You can learn about how to cite sources of information with the introduction to referencing.

I have created a page Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Draft:All power labs which was initially reviewed and rejected by Hasteur. I made significant changes to address his remarks and resubmitted, and about 2 weeks ago he commented: "I see that the page is now more appropriate. Per the unspoken rule I'm going to let someone else review it to give a more broad based review point." I wonder how this works and if I need to take any action to make it happen.Nesdon (talk) 17:13, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You don't need to take any further action to make it happen, as that draft is currently awaiting a second review (which might take a few weeks). One thing you could do in the meantime would be to improve the references so that they are not Wikipedia:Bare URLs. (A YouTube link on its own is not a very good reference, for example, not least because some reviewers, including myself, cannot access whatever the link points to.) Article was submitted but editor did further work on user page[edit]

User:Copiacertificada asked me for help with a draft article for which the desired title is either Nuria Perpinya or Núria Perpinyà. I'm not sure which is preffered on Wikipedia. Because it was created on the user page, I moved it to User:Copiacertificada/Núria Perpinyà temporarily and changed the redirects that resulted. There is a Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Nuria Perpinya which is poorly formatted, and I'm not sure what this person should do now. The draft article that I moved to the proper place is better looking, at least, and may be suitable.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 17:42, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Vchimpanzee:
Concerning the diacritics: Per WP:DIACRITICS and WP:COMMONNAME, the version of the title will be determined by common usage in reliable English-language sources. Searching so far has been inconclusive on which one is more common.
Concerning the extra draft: You could leave Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Nuria Perpinya there and let it be deleted under CSD G13, or possibly tag it under G6: {{db-g6|rationale=draft already exists at [[User:Copiacertificada/Núria Perpinyà]]}}. I am not getting what the statement below means?? This is a misplaced articles for creation submission. If it is not yet ready for article space, please consider moving it to project space rather than marking it for deletion. Note: If you are not an administrator please tag the redirect left behind after the move for deletion. please help

agillAgill19 (talk) 19:00, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You tagged it for submission through AfC even though it is already an actual article. I've moved it to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Vrushika Mehta, where it has been submitted. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 19:09, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You can greatly increase the chances of this draft being accepted by improving the references. You can go through the introduction to referencing to learn how. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 19:10, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
