Skybolt (talk) 07:44, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Skybolt101: Thank you for drawing our attention to articles that do not meet Wikipedia's guidelines. After studying Kaleem Shah (actor), I have nominated it for deletion. The others will be improved or deleted as volunteers have time. Wikipedia is forever a work in progress; it contains high quality and low quality content. Using the existence of poorly sourced content is never an excuse for creating additional inadequately sourced content. See the essays Other stuff exists and Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions for further explanation.
With regard to Draft:Shakeel Hussain Khan, when writing about living persons, every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is likely to be challenged, requires a citation. The draft contains lists of movie, TV, and theater productions, but references for only one movie and one play. Moreover, the reference for the play is a news broadcast that appears to have been uploaded to YouTube without the permission of the copyright holder. Wikipedia may not link to a copyright violation. As the author of the draft, you know where you got the information in it. It's up to you to tell us by citing your sources. To the extent that non-English sources are cited, it can be helpful to provide relevant quotes from the sources at the end of each citation, ideally with a translation into English placed in square brackets [] after each quote. 13:09:55, 27 June 2015 review of submission by Kamishiro[edit]

As far as I can tell, I have followed submission guidelines, cited references, awards, etc. - everything that makes Mr. Sinnicks "notable". In fact, there is as much, or more, information backing up his career than many Musicians already listed on Wikipedia (for example, one of his "associated acts" Coyote_Shivers). There are references to him playing with some incredibly famous Canadian acts (notably, Stompin' Tom Connors) as well as his continuing recognition by his city and his peers. I have made some edits, added more references and a photo. Any other information or suggestions would be welcome. Kamishiro (talk) 13:09, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for the reasons detailed exhaustively on the draft. Worldbruce (talk) 15:36, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why my Articles has been rejected ? I already a lot of sources ...

Muedupk (talk) 15:36, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Muedupk: Have you read the reviewer's comment on the draft (below the big pink box)? When writing about living persons, every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is likely to be challenged, requires a citation.
There are two other major problems with the draft. First, of the draft's five sources, only the article in The Express Tribune is a reliable source. The draft needs at least one more reliable source. The four unreliable ones should be removed. Second, three of the five paragraphs in the draft are copied directly from The Express Tribune in violation of copyright. Consequently they have been removed. You may use the newspaper as a source of information, but you must write the draft in your own words. Worldbruce (talk) 16:53, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

16:39:04, 27 June 2015 review of submission by Twonalib[edit]

I am just getting into editing on Wikipedia and tried to create an article on the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation at Rockefeller University, which I'm familiar with and thought would make a good entry. I had several citations, including from The New York Times, where I work, and the organization is listed in other Wikipedia entries. But twice it has been declined, saying it had insufficient references. I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong? Twonalib (talk) 16:39, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote the material that is on our website, why can't I use that for the Wikipedia article? Petermccartt (talk) 22:03, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Petermccartt (talk) 22:03, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Petermccartt: First, at the bottom of the website it says copyright 2015 Sustainable Westchester. If the copyright holder wishes to donate the material to Wikipedia, then please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for information about how to do so. Second, the purpose of the organization website and the purpose of Wikipedia are quite different. Text written to convey an organization's view of itself is generally unsuitable for verbatim use on Wikipedia.
It's important that you declare any close connection you have with subjects you write about. I've left more information about that on your talk page. Finally, note that Wikipedia articles must be based primarily on sources independent of an organization, which the organization's website is not. Worldbruce (talk) 23:45, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
