#544[edit]

This is one of those cases where I'm shocked the editor has not been recognized with this award before. Rhain (talk · contribs · count · logs) is a content creation veteran with over 70 GAs spanning the last decade, primarily relating to video games. Some of my favorite examples of his work are Hayao Miyazaki and Red Dead Redemption 2, not to mention The Last of Us (all Million Award–eligible, by the way)! I met Rhain when he reviewed my first GAN, and above even his considerable writing experience, I was struck by his attention to detail and his humble, helpful communication style — two things I'm sure will stick with me throughout my editing journey. This project needs more editors like him, and I hope you'll agree he deserves this recognition as a small token of the community's appreciation. #545[edit]

I nominate Kazamzam (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week for their dedicated, long-term efforts to improve the encyclopedia. They joined the project in 2021, and have almost 19,000 mainspace edits to their name. They have expanded and improved countless stubs, besides reverting vandalism and writing articles on a variety of topics. They have also done much work for WikiProject Unreferenced articles, steadily chipping away at the large backlog categories. 🌺 Cremastra (talk) 20:54, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Note. As you can see this nomination was presented in January this year. At the time there was a discussion about the time span between a first award and then a second. I just now came upon it and, with the "bare cupboard" shortage, realized it had become viable. I will update the information and inform editor Cremastra later today. #546[edit]

I nominate Grnrchst (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week for consistently high quality contributions in both writing and reviewing. Not only has Grnrchst done extensive work to improve Wikipedia's coverage of Eastern Europe, but they work tirelessly to help close Wikipedia's gender gap by writing about women's history, and their participation at Women in Green has helped other editors make similar contributions. #547[edit]

I nominate Bilorv (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week for unrelenting dedication to what this encyclopedia is really about. This is evident in all their contributions, from offering unusually perspicacious projectspace commentary to reviewing others' articles to inspiring heretofore unseen feats of content creation, but the best measure of their work is the impact it has on readers. When I say that Bilorv's content (about television, books, and much else) has been read 100,000,000 times, I'm more likely to be guilty of underestimation than exaggeration. And those readers – real people – encounter articles written to the highest standards, including (but not at all limited to) three FAs and fifty GAs. Bilorv is the consummate battleship: someone whose content creation reaches and sustains high levels of quantity, quality, and relevance. In the long term, that fact is far more meaningful than any cheesy award. But the award certainly won't hurt. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 00:16, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

#548[edit]

I nominate Gonzo fan2007 (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week for being the biggest cheesehead (Green Bay Packers fan) on the site. Their Packers-related work includes promoting Bob Mann (American football) and Packers sweep, Green Bay Packers presidents (a 12-item topic!), Green Bay Packers draft history, 14 featured lists, 36 good articles (16 current noms related to the Packers, so this will be higher when it runs), and 50+ DYKs! Their tireless work to improve content related to the Green Bay Packers is inspiring, and they deserve to be commended and recognized for it.

Being a Chicago Bears fan I will reluctantly attend to your wishes although with great consternation. Buster Seven Talk (UTC) 12:35, 13 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
