Subproject content begun by User:jsgoodrich Please feel free to help/modify. The goal of this division/subproject is to help improve the law of Michigan page on Wikipedia. As a Michigan Attorney, I had a potential client bring me a printout from a Wiki page that had outdated information. I am hoping there are enough people who can help build this subproject.

There are several areas of Michigan Law that are on Wikipedia that are out of date and missing or incorrect information. Basic information about the courts in Michigan have not even had pages created.

Work to Start

[edit]

I think the best place to start is with the Michigan Consitution and work down from there.

We need to get the list of courts and what jurisdiction they have.

Agencies that support Michigan Court functions that need articles.

Standardizing and updating articles

[edit]

I created two info boxes to help standardize articles. If you are working on an article that does not have it's own info box and it is about a Michigan Law subject, please add the Michigan Law Template. If you are working on a Michigan Supreme Court Case, please add that Info box.

Working on court cases

[edit]

When working on creating articles for court cases make sure to follow BlueBook legal referencing style and on the talk page place this.

Adding Categories

[edit]

If you are working an article that deals with the law of Michigan please make sure we are adding to the talk page both the Michigan Project and the Law Project. This way we can pull resources from both projects to make the article the best it can be.
