From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Between the rock-like form and the curve which appears man-made, I looked around Category:Sculptures and List of statues. No luck so far, from what I can see. ESkog 17:58, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC) Because it shows ripples in it it is either rock, but more likely metal because of the dent in the side (it is old) or some kind of rubber. The blue part is the sky because it shows a shadow.--Zxcvbnm 8 July 2005 13:29 (UTC)

A guess[edit]

Resembles[edit]

It appears to be a dark marble (or some other stone) of part of the body below the breast and above the hip. Part of the arm and hand appears to be visible. The blue looks to be sky. Of course this is all just speculation, and so far going through statues and scupture pictures turns up nothing. -- Nis81 July 8, 2005 16:16 (UTC)

Hint[edit]

The statue is closer to the sea... Just to drop a small hint. --AllyUnion (talk) 09:42, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Another guess[edit]

could this be the "Sea"?--Zxcvbnm 03:04, 13 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, try again. --AllyUnion (talk) 06:56, 13 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty good guess[edit]

From Samuel Taylor Coleridge:

A statue of the Ancient Mariner at Watchet Harbour, Somerset, England, unveiled in September 2003 as a tribute to Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
Ah ! well a-day ! what evil looks
Had I from old and young !
Instead of the cross, the Albatross
About my neck was hung.

Pretty fun!
