Implementation of WP:CANSTYLE#Neighbourhoods[edit]

I figured that the best place to start would be reviewing the neighbourhood lists of the large cities. I've done the following so far:

  • Toronto
  • Ottawa
  • Montreal
  • Vancouver
  • Calgary
  • Edmonton
  • Winnipeg

I have been moving bracket DABs to comma DABs (e.g. Mercier, Montreal). In other cases where the guideline would require a move, I have been leaving a note on the talk page as required by the convention (e.g. Talk:LaSalle (borough)). Skeezix1000 (talk) 12:04, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I saw Skeezix had done Mile End, Montreal so I moved Victoriatown, Quebec to Victoriatown, Montreal, as had been discussed. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:04, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And it is now, finally, at Goose Village, Montreal. And already there's been content added. No doubt editors respond better when they recognize the article names. My next question is about moving rather than redirecting articles. An administrator has suggested I do so. I'd shied away from doing so until now, using redirects. But now that we have a consensus on neighbourhood names, moves are preferable, correct? I should mention that the next moves I would be making are for Marché Atwater to Atwater Market and Marché Jean-Talon to Jean-Talon Market, a somewhat different topic but also per WP:NCGN. thanks, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:30, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Admin assistance required[edit]

An admin's assistance is required to move the following articles. Thanks. Skeezix1000 (talk) 12:50, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Mindmatrix 13:57, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I could use help moving a few more articles:

Please and thank you. Skeezix1000 (talk) 12:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Montréal-Est, Quebec[edit]

Wanted to direct your attention to a question I have posed at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (geographic names)/Archives/2008/November#Montréal-Est, Quebec regarding the English usage of Montréal-Est, Quebec. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 20:40, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
