False positives at User talk:Cyberpower678 history tab

[edit]

A lot of entries at the history tab of User talk:Cyberpower678 are showing with red exclamation marks, when the diff itself has no URLs in it. Hovering over them reveals wikipedia.org. –Novem Linguae (talk) 08:59, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Novem Linguae. We'll file this as a bug and triage it. We knew about false negatives, but this is our first known case of false positives. We're also strongly considering only working on Namespace = 0 diffs, since there are legitimate uses of, for example, en.wikipedia.org urls in other spaces! Thanks for the feedback. I was just about to move this to Phab myself. Unfortunately while writing the Phab ticket the problem went away, so this may be an intermittent one :( Anyway I've got the ticket typed up so I'll go ahead and file it in a moment. –Novem Linguae (talk) 09:05, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I encountered this on a different page just now, and I added a comment to the phab ticket with more info. By the way, to get emails for a phab tag, I think you need to add yourselves as watchers rather than members over at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/members/7126/Novem Linguae (talk) 13:35, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
