I wonder what was the rationale for deleting the list of project members. It might indeed be desirable to get rid of inactive members, but to do it like this? G Purevdorj (talk) 14:40, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

They were not deleted, but moved to this page, with a link leading there. I'm also not sure why this was considered necessary, though. --Latebird (talk) 15:13, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Advertising on "Mongolian grammar"

Nomin talst; Lumino

Hi! The article on Nomin talst (band) has recently been speedily deleted and has just been restored to my userspace at User:G_Purevdorj/Nomin_talst at my request. As it is, the text of the article indeed lacks any claim of notability, which is of course present in the listing of awards. That should be made more explicit, and sourced, if possible. Anyone is welcome to edit! The article on Lumino (band) might have the same problem. I did one edit to improve its notablity, but it's still in a hazardous state. Dain ba Enkh

The article on Dain ba Enkh was recently deleted, so I improved and restored it. But it's based on one source, and there is currently only one claim to Wikipedia:Notability_(music) that is put somewhat ambigously in the original formulation. Mongolian BLP

Would anyone be able to assess if this person is notable: Ichinnorov Manjaa? It has been BLP Prodded. I speak no Mongolian and Google Translate can't handle it, so I find it impossible to assess the sources; what little there is about her in English is snippets or 404. Didn't check for English sources, and the Mongolian internet cannot handle more distant issues, but sources for the two last cases are easy enough to find, and the sources for the latest case are extremely solid. Visa requirements for Mongolian citizens

I believe the page is missing one rather important country, however I am not really sure if my information is up-to-date and the info on timaticweb is somewhat difficult to make sense of. I am familiar with the 'E-' thing, but the stuff about tour groups seems somewhat confusing. Can Mongolians enter China when one condition is met, or only when both conditions are? Help request on sources for Mongolia Premier League season articles

Hello,

Nameless User (talk · contribs) recently created season articles for the Mongolia Premier League, the highest football league of the country. Unfortunately, his overall choice of sources is very thin; he currently relies only on a single RSSSF page listing the winners of each season, which is usually not sufficient enough to warrant separate season articles. Thus, in a request for support, could members point Nameless User and other interested editors to additional sources? The sources need not necessarily to be in English, as there is our good old friend Google Translate at our disposal. Any source would be helpful in order to prevent at least the articles for the most recent seasons from deletion. A similar request can also be found at the talk page of WikiProject Football; it would be nice if any answers would be made there. Standard Mongolian (China)

虞海 (Yú Hǎi) has recently displaced and tagged this article. In reaction, I set a move tag and deleted his "needs expert" tag. Whether this article is biased or not is something s/he will have to demonstrate, so it does not make much sense for you to comment on this. I don't know whether or not commenting on the proposed movement makes sense; it is probably rather a question of sources than of opinions (and of course related to the mismatch of content and title). But I'd really like to know whether there is something "confusing or unclear" about this article. I tend to understand my own writing, therefore I cannot tell. So please read and comment on anything that might seem confusing or unclear, so that I can deal with it or (in the absence of any such problems) remove the tag. I think it is not really clear (without prior knowledge) exactly which of the dialects listed in the 5th sentence have Oirat origins. Some sentences are overly long, e.g. "As may be expected given its intended status that was formally implemented and delimited at a conference in Urumchi in 1979,[7] South Mongolian has been the object of several grammars[8] including an eclectic grammar that specifically deals with normative spoken language[9] which is mainly based on the Chakhar dialect as spoken in the Plain Blue Banner on which the normative South Mongolian pronunciation Standard sounds (Mongolian: ᠪᠠᠷᠢᠮᠵᠢᠶ᠎ᠠ ᠠᠪᠢᠶ᠎ᠠ barimǰiy-a abiy-a) is based.". I'd also say the article could use some sub-headings. One might be 'academic discussion', 'criticism' or so, another one 'practical relevance'? Yaan (talk) 13:44, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
